It has been
so cold here I find myself wanting to stay indoors as much as I can. That
includes braving the snow to go to a salon to get my nails done. In this
weather it’s not happening. So, I pour a
glass of wine, listen to some music, and paint my nails. I’m actually really
loving it. With spring around the corner I decided to start trying some of the
new fun nail trends. What’s more spring that pastels, pinks, and metallics?
I was
recently able to stop by the new Sally Beauty Supply Nail Studio Wall and I was in color heaven! With 750
different nail colors it was beyond hard to choose. What would normally be a 15--
minute stop turned into 45 minutes. There were so many different shades of pink
I had to ask the beauty experts at Sally Beauty for advice. They were so helpful and informative I was
finally able to make a decision. What is also great about the Nail Studio Wall is that they have a touch screen
informative video on all of the nail companies they sell there like OPI and the exclusive brand FingerPaints that’s only sold at Sally Beauty
Supply. The videos include information on the companies, some of the new
colors, and even nail ideas.
I chose three colors: OPI Shorts Story, OPI DutchTulips, and FingerPaint’s He-Art Auction. All of these are sold at Sally Beauty. The FingerPaints
brand nail polish had a buy one get one free in store-- only sale
promotion. Who doesn’t like a good sale?
I started with OPI Dutch Tulips. This color is the perfect blend of pink and red. I used one coat on each finger. Then I used
the OPI Shorts Story once on each nail and let it dry for a few minutes. These two
beautiful colors combined made the perfect rich looking dark pink. I truly loved these two colors together.
I love my end result. This look was very easy and simple to
do. Hope you enjoyed it.
