Golden Confidence Pool Party!

The day has finally come! I can make the announcement I've been dying to make since December; I'm throwing the first ever plus-size, pool party in New York City!!! I just screamed! It's so surreal. I can't believe this is actually going to happen.
For the past two years I have attempted to do a beach meet up, but it never happened. It wasn't until my friends encouraged me to think bigger that I decided to do pool party. Plus-size women are being celebrated like never before. We're buying swimsuits faster than companies can make them. We are stepping into the spotlight, owning our bodies, and demanding the respect we deserve. I felt it was time to throw an epic pool party celebrating all of those things. When I told my two favorite plus-size brands Monif C, and Rue 107 that I wanted throw a pool party, they didn’t hesitate to support my efforts. They are the official sponsors for this event. My media sponsor is Plus Model Magazine. With major brands like these supporting this event, I know it will be a success.
Not only do I have an extreme love for swimsuits, but the #goldenconfidence hashtag was started to help plus-size women feel confident, and comfortable in their swimsuits. The hashtag quickly took on a life of its own, and women were posting selfies, everyday outfits, and inspirational quotes, to help other women feel good about their bodies. That's what this party is about. A safe space for women with tummies, jiggles and wiggles, to come together in their best swimwear, and enjoy themselves. I want everyone to eat, drink, take unlimited pictures (especially, in my photo booth), swim, and enjoy the company of other women who look just like them. Let's celebrate our perfectly flawed, beautifully bodacious bodies!
Tickets are $25.00 dollars, until June 1st. After which, the tickets will be 35.00. The ticket price includes food, and drink specials. You can purchase tickets here.

ReplyDeleteI will definitely come check this place again with some other awesome friends of mine! It's one of best places for having a good time with a joyous feeling. And the best karaoke bar nyc fascinates me with its great style and vibrant atmosphere.
