Golden Kaleidoscope: Life is good!

Life is good!

Let me go ahead and get this out the way; Yes, I have that damn hat on again LOL! Now that that's out of the way, let's talk about this God awful bipolar, super cold weather. I hate it. Please go away!

On another note, how has 2015 been treating you so far? I can't lie, January was a little tough for me, but February 1st brought blessings. I almost feel like January was a testing month for me. Asking me, “How bad do you really want to succeed at your dream?” I've been pushing myself to get out of my comfort zone in order to  finish what I start, and to really believe in myself fully and whole heartedly.
Let's talk about these ASOS jeans. I've wanted to try a pair of ASOS jeans after a few of my blogger buddies had such great things to say about them. These jeans are pretty good BUT, size down. These are high waisted jeans but I had A LOT of room.

I was recently on a panel for an event called "Powerful and Plus," hosted by the amazing Paris Alexandria.  First off, as open, honest, and outgoing as I am, I'm also very shy (LOL). So, I was very nervous to share my story and thoughts with the audience members.  The event was about women in the plus size industry sharing their journey, giving tips, and being open and honest about the plus size business/industry. It was such an honor to be on a panel with such incredible women. I was in complete shock when audience and panel members were saying I inspired them. ME! Essie Golden, who used to wear gym shorts to class, and flip flops to nightclubs (I know, a hot mess!).

I say that to say this; I'm grateful for each and every struggle I've been through. Just two years ago I was attending these panels as an audience member. I was so excited to get my start within the plus size industry, and took in as much of the information as I possibly could. Now I’m being asked to speak on panels to women that find me inspirational.  Who would've thought?

Nothing else to say, but, thank you, to everyone who has supported and loved me along the way. I love you and I'm forever grateful to you for that. To those chasing a dream within this industry, just know there is room for you. This is an 18 billion dollar industry, with oodles of opportunity. Don't feel discouraged. Your time is coming! Just keep working hard and remain consistent in all you do. You can do it!

Thank you Kitty K. Free for all of your help. You're amazing! Thank you M76 Photo for taking great photos.
